Cute Pictures!

We went out to my parents house the other night and then came home and drove by the temple. I think we're so lucky because we can see the temple from our driveway. So when we got out we were looking at the temple and the girls got cold, and decided they needed to share our jackets,

Kaydee needed to pose for the picture, I love it. I am so in love with these pictures I want to blow them up to be huge and hang them where I can see them everyday.
Kenyon thought it was awesome to share Daddy's vest. She even stuck her hands in the pockets. I sure love these girls!!!

Just for my memories!

I wish I had pictures, but my camera is lost!!! Somewhere in the travels from Christmas we lost it, someday we might find it, but I might just get a new one!

Kaydee and Kenyon are so happy to be big girls who use real toothpaste and can spit in the sink, it's hilarious, they bend their heads so far down in the sink their hair gets wet.

They love to sha shaow! (shower) It's actually way easier than baths, I stick them in come back when they've had enough time to get their hair wet and scrub it, give them soap and they wash their bodies. They just forget to tell me if the water gets cold, cause they like to stay in so they climb under the curtain liner. It's hilarious.

They sing the ABC song while they wash their hands.

They use the key from their little tikes cars as either candy or coloring.

They love kesses (necklesses) telephones, (cell phones), ikeese (icecream).

I am continually amazed with their vocabulary. They are speaking in pretty full sentences and there are only a few things we can't understand.

Favorite TV shows range from Diego and Dora, to Mickey Mouse, Lil Si Si (Little Einstiens), and My Friends Tigger and Pooh, and Jungle Junction. We pick a few in the morning and they watch while I get ready.
Hyrums favorite game is to either stand right in front of them so they can't see or turn the TV off, either way it makes them scream and he laughs and claps for himself. Such a funny boy.
Jaydee would be happy if I just let her watch movies all day long in her pajamas, but she needs a toilet right by the TV, she really hates getting up to go potty. She can't stand to miss anything. But if I didn't turn off the TV I would miss the fabulous imagination she has. She is a great "big sister" she loves to teach the twins her imaginative games, and they have some great times together. We may be busy but we have a lot of fun!

Hyrum says my name, Deedaah, he says it when he's hurt, hungry, tired, happy, frusterated pretty much anytime he wants me to save him. He is finally falling asleep on his own, I convinced my sister it was time (he's 30 lbs for crying out loud). It's been a great change. I just lay him down after lunch and he cries for about 2 seconds before he is out!!!

Kaydee and Kenyon however are more difficult to get to sleep for their naps, ever since we got rid of the crib they think its just play time, except at night they still do great. I guess it's just the independence of being two, and daytime they're just not quite tired enough to fall asleep without some supervision. It's kind of a nice time to just lay with them and sometimes hold them as they drift off.

I started a class this semester and I play volleyball with the church and Blain plays basketball with them so we are busy almost everynight of the week. But it's great!

4 Years and Counting!!

From this:

To this:

In 4 years, Blain has held 4 different jobs. We have lived in 4 different homes, (this is just actually living with all our stuff in our own place, not counting the 6 months in my parents house with stuff in storage, or the 2 months in my sisters house, with stuff again in storage.) We've owned 4 cars. And have the greatest two little blessings anyone could ask for, Kaydee and Kenyon. I have been thinking alot about the things we've done since we were married and I know it's cliche' but it's really flown by.
I remember being excited for "real life" to start after the honeymoon, and now I wish I was back on that honeymoon. We lived in an apartment that kept getting little roaches, no matter how many times the exterminator came, dumb disgusting neighbors. We made the decision to get pregnant after we'd been married almost a year. We found out we were pregnant on our first anniversary. We went to DisneyWorld, DisneyLand, Seaworld, all back when we had money. We bought our first truck together and then made a big move from that apartment to my hometown. We found out we were having twins!!! We moved out of my parents house into our little trailer that was FINALLY ready one week before the twins were born. Blain was my cheerleader while I gave birth. We doubled our family in one day. Our house was overtaken by binkies, bottles, burp rags, baby clothes, baby soap, hooded towels, bouncers, swings, blankets, etc. We learned that propane is definitely WAY too expensive. We moved again, but once again our house wasn't ready and we had to live with my sister. The twins learned to walk while we were there. We had to cancel their first birthday party because my great grandmother passed away. I took on two extra kids, to help my sister. We went through 6 months looking for a home, and 2 months trying to buy the dumb thing when we found it. We moved AGAIN! But we are the proud new owners of a great house. It's been a great, challenging, exciting, fun four years and I hope there are many more to come.

Family Pictures and Christmas Cards

These are our Family Pictures from July. Taken by the amazing Jennifer Flake.
Here's Kenyon

And Kaydee.

Both Girls making funny faces.

And the Family don't you love that they're looking at eachother. This one is also our Christmas card this year.
In November we followed the Joseph City Wildcats to the semi finals match against ______ which they won and went on to be State Champions when they beat the Mogollon Mustangs the second time in the season.
We also hosted Thanksgiving at our new house since we are the only ones with television and Blain is certain that the holiday is all about the football games. It went really well all the food was great and my house was actually big enough for the 15 adults and 8 little kids that filled it.
Now we're getting ready for Christmas. Blain's company hosts two Christmas parties, one for the kids and one for just the adults. Kaydee and Kenyon sat on Santa's lap and got a candy cane and Lincoln Logs. We had a great time at both parties, it is such an awesome company.
Merry Christmas!!!

Halloween Costumes!

Check out my cute little Lady bugs. I was going to do black spots but they didn't show up very well. I had so much fun making the costumes and the girls loved them. We walked to do trick or treating because we thought that we would be done faster cause the girls would get tired, but we were way wrong, they walked almost a mile around two blocks and still wanted more. We had a good time.

Better Late Than Never

In the last two years we have learned some important lessons...

We learned how to climb on the windowsill to watch for daddy to come home...

We learned the importance of Fashion in a girls life...
Sunglasses must fit just right...

We learned the joy of hunting for Easter eggs...
How great a birthday party is when we get to open the presents...

The joy of service...
How to find hidden treasures and new places to play...

How to talk to the camera and play with our feet...
The joy of sisterhood...
That life on the outside is WAY better than the crammed inside...

Mommy has learned... to accept her limits, two little girls will help anyone reach this goal, how to distribute candy, icecream and even dinners in two equal parts, everything has to be fair, that barricades can be outgrown or just climbed over, that exercise comes whether I plan or even want it, when they run you just have to take chase, when they hold hands, play together, laugh together, your heart will melt and you might shed a few tears at the wonderful, beautiful gifts that God has blessed you with.
It's been a wonderful two years. We have lived in 3 different places, traveled numerous times to football, wrestling, graduations, grandma's, great grandma's, aunts, friends. We know how to handle hotels, and have learned to accept each day with renewed vigor, and that even if you don't go to bed the kids will still be up at 6:30 and they don't take not now for an answer. I'm excited to welcome many years to come.
